Topic #1: EPA's Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule
In September of 2015, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a proposed Hazardous Waste Generator Improvement Rule to make hazardous waste rules easier to understand, facilitate compliance and provide greater flexibility. Two key features of the rule allow a facility to avoid large quantity generator status for episodic waste generation and to allow conditionally exempt small quantity generators the ability to ship hazardous to a large quantity generator under common control.
Amanda Lam from ADEQ will present on this topic and outline the various provisions of the rule and how they will impact hazardous waste generators in Arizona.

Topic #2: SCOTUS Ruling
Patrick Paul, Partner with Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., will discuss the victory that businesses and developers just gained from the U.S. Supreme Court ruling issued on May 31st in regard to the Clean Water Act; and will provide an update on the status of the Waters of U.S. lawsuit.
