Public Schools Drinking Water Lead Program
Amanda E. Stone, Chief Policy & Legislative Affairs Officer, Arizona Department of Environmental Quality
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is committed to the health of Arizona’s children and safe drinking water in schools. ADEQ has been coordinating with multiple state and local agencies, public water systems and public schools, to proactively conduct a statewide screening program of school drinking water systems to identify whether it contains lead levels of concern for children’s health, so that school districts can take appropriate actions to address any concerns. Amanda Stone will provide a report on the program and its results.
Funding and Status of the Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF)
Laura Malone, Waste Programs Division Director, Arizona Department of Environmental Quality
