In spite of the well known dry climate in the Greater Phoenix area, it does rain in Arizona and Maricopa County has extensive flood control infrastructure in place to prevent property damage from flooding. Bill Wiley will discuss the recent flooding in this area and the structures and programs that are in place to reduce flood problems in Maricopa County. He will also give a sneak preview of what to expect this coming monsoon season.
